Research a mass media resource (not the Internet) that involves genetic research or testing on people, animals, medicine or agricultural products and its effect on human health. Select a current (within last 2 years 2001-2003) resource where the subject matter involves genetic research or testing on people, animals, medicines or agriculture products and includes implications of how it can affect an individual's health.

Find information in books, magazines, newspapers, and on-line resources ( DO NOT use search engines such as Google, Ask Jeeves or Yahoo), the Library Media Center and other libraries.

Summarize information from mass media resource in 3-4 paragraphs. Include title and date of resource and future implications of this research including possible positive and negative effects. (55 pts.)

In a separate paragraph, state a hypothetical question that could arise if your research topic became a reality. Hypothetically answer your own question in this paragraph. (25 pts.)

As a group, discuss what ethical questions can arise if your research topic becomes a reality.
