Task Definition

Criteria and Guidelines:

• Students will work in groups of 3-5.                                                                    
• Select a topic you are interested in from the list below.
• Students will work in their groups to conduct research on their assigned topic and prepare a 5 -10 minute presentation.  The presentation must include visuals such as:
• illustrations
• transparencies
• posters
• actual objects
• sounds (student-made videos or recordings are okay)
• Groups must prepare a written summary of the research topic.

• This project is worth 200 points.
• Students will be graded individually, and will be evaluated on the thoroughness of the            research and the quality of the presentation.
• Oral presentation = 125 points  (no reading, may use notecards)  Other = 75 points
