Task Definintion

Objective:  To conduct an information search about the characters, setting and historical background of the novel, True North by Kathryn Lansky.

Before reading True North, students should learn about the people and places referred to in the story.  We will spend one class period in the Media Center to conduct research. Students will use books, magazines, online reference sources and Internet sites to expand our knowledge of the topics below.  Pictures and maps will also be helpful tools.
