Kindergarten Pumpkins and Cat With this artwork students reinforced their understanding of mixing red and yellow together. Not only can you get orange, but you can get a range of oranges: it just depends upon how much red you mix in with the yellow. The cut paper cat introduced students to the possibility of cutting one shape and getting two when the paper is folded. It’s like magic! We had practiced drawing cats before and with this cut cat , we practiced gluing skills as well as cutting skills. This lesson is also an introduction to proportion: the size of the head one needs for a cat depends upon the size of the body. |
