Ms. Lyons’ 4th Grade Landscapes Students learned that a landscape can be represented by a range of lines and dots, as opposed to the usual method of representation, which is with shapes. We began by learning to represent various textures with lines and dots. Students then drew a landscape from their imagination or memory, focusing on representing foreground (close objects); middle ground (things in the middle of the space represented in their picture); and background (those things that seem farthest away.) |
