In this Kidspiration Activity, students collect data about the color of shirts students wore in their school pictures. The colors appear randomly on the screen.
The students then sort the students by shirt color, and organize the students so that they are easier to count. Organizing data to be displayed in a meaningful way is a skill that students will use throughout math and statistics.
|
After organizing the data, students can then determine how many students are wearing each color. They can also start to analyze the data answering simple questions, such as, What was the most popular color among these students? How many more students chose red than yellow? |
