WHEELWRIGHT

By Stephen R. & Chris S.

A wheelwright makes a wheels. First the hubs are made, then the naves are dried and turned into a hub shape. Then the hubs are filled with holes for the spokes, then the spokes are hammered into the holes, then the felloes are put onto the spokes. After that, the wheel is wrapped in metal or "tired".

A person needed to work well with metal and wood. An apprentice needs to be able to understand quickly, be strong, and not be afraid of working with metal and wood.

This craft is needed to help provide transportation for others. This job would be satisfying by helping get where they want to faster and more comfortably.
