 Crayfish

(Decapoda)

Crayfish are freshwater animals that look like small lobsters. They have thin, hard shells or exoskeletons. They are usually brown. They range from 2 to 40 centimeters. During dry seasons, crayfish burrow into the mud. Crayfish pass through three stages before becoming adults. Crayfish shed their exoskeleton. The crayfish is active at night. They eat plants. Sometimes they eat animals.
