SUPPLIES LIST FOR THE 2008-09 SCHOOL YEAR

Teachers and Team Leaders worked together to develop this list of student supplies. Please feel confident that we are asking you to purchase items that are necessary for your child's active participation in class. However, please be aware that this is only a partial supply list and teachers may request that you purchase other materials during the school year.

All students will need the following supplies:

* Three-ring binder with 7 dividers (2"-3")

The Greater Gaithersburg Chamber of Commerce supports the purchase of our Character Counts! Book (CCB) for each of our students. The CCB will be used to record assignments, to maintain organization, and also serves as the Hall Pass. It is offered at no initial cost to students. However, students who lose their CCB will be required to purchase a replacement at a cost of $5.00. Please use the CCB as a tool for your son’s/daughter’s success, and as a communication link with his/her teachers.

* 1" Three-ring binder w/dividers for English class

* Loose-leaf paper

* 3 Spiral Notebooks

* Several Pocket Folders

* Number 2 pencils

* Ink pens, blue or black

* Colored pencils (Set of 8)

* Glue stick

* Highlighters - variety of colors

* Editing pens - variety of colors

* Protractor

* Ruler (inches & centimeters)

* Calculator**

**A TI-84Plus (or TI-83 Plus) graphing calculator is required for all students in IM, Algebra 1, and Geometry. These may be purchased for approximately $90 at Staples, Office Depot, Costco, Sam’s Club and other stores that sell school/office supplies. FOMS has a limited number available for rent.

Students in Math 6, Math 7, and Algebra Prep must have a basic functions calculator, also available at stores selling school/office supplies.
