FOMS Library Media Center - The Hub of Technology Use

  The Media Center houses 33 Dell Optiplex computers running on Windows XP.  Users have the choice of printing to a HP LaserJet 4200n or HP Color LaserJet 5500dn printer. Students and staff access their documents, instructional software, and the internet through password-protected user accounts.

    To facilitate instruction, the Media Center uses SynchronEyes software, which allows the instructor to display one computer screen on all computers, either in full-screen mode or in a variety of split-screen configurations, to demonstrate and clarify concepts. Vision also allows the media center staff to monitor student use of any or all computers in the room.
